Advanced Driving & Steering System

The DELTA 500 features a highly agile four-wheel driving system, consisting of two drive (active) castors and two swivel (passive/torsion) castors. This allows the crane to move in a straight line, travel in an arc, or execute tight turns using distinct driving modes:

• First Gear (Precision): Designed for precise straight-line travel (perfect for positioning loads along the crane's travel path) and for executing controlled turns.
• Second Gear (Transit): Designed for faster, straight-ahead driving to efficiently cover longer distances between workstations.
• Single-Sided Turning: Moves the active wheel on the outer side, causing the crane to turn smoothly relative to the inner active wheel.
• Two-Sided Turning (Rotate on the Spot): The drive wheels spin in opposite directions, allowing the crane to rotate on its own axis relative to the centre point between the active wheels.

The DELTA 500 self-propelled crane is equipped with four wheels, two of which,are drive (active) and two torsion (passive). The crane can move in a straight line, in an arc and can also turn.

It is equipped with two speed modes:

• First gear:

- for precise straight-line travel (positioning the load on the direction of travel of the crane)

- For turning the crane

• Second gear:

- for driving straight ahead for longer distances (faster movement between workstations),

It has two modes of turning:

- single-sided drive - moves the active wheel on the outer side, causes the crane to turn relative to the inner active wheel
- two-sided drive - the drive wheels spin in the opposite direction, causes the crane to rotate relative to the center point between the active wheels
