1. Do you manufacture bespoke products to meet individual requirements?

Yes, we fully understand that not every task can be accomplished using standard equipment. 2. What information is required when ordering a bespoke grab?

To enable us to accurately select and design a safe solution, we will need a few key pieces of information from you:

  • Weight of the load to be lifted (required lifting capacity / WLL),
  • Type and properties of the material (e.g., steel, concrete, timber, surface hardness, etc.),
  • Dimensions of the load, particularly the gripping range (thickness of the element),
  • Operating environment details (e.g., high-temperature work, explosive atmospheres / ATEX, corrosive conditions),
  • Number of duty cycles.

3. What equipment should I choose to avoid damaging the lifted material?

For handling loads with delicate surfaces or those prone to scratching, we recommend our textile slings (webbing and round slings), which are soft and flexible. Additionally, our range includes dedicated grabs fitted with rubber or polyurethane jaws.

4. Does the equipment comply with current standards?

Absolutely. Safety is our top priority. All lifting equipment and accessories available at CranePlex meet rigorous British and European safety standards. Our devices come with the necessary certificates, declarations of conformity, and appropriate markings to guarantee safe operation:

  • Harmonised British Standards (BS / BS EN) – the equipment is designed and tested in accordance with designated British standards (e.g., BS EN 13414 for wire rope slings or BS EN 13411 for wire rope accessories),
  • Standard BS EN 13155 – confirming safety and rigorous load testing for non-fixed load lifting attachments (such as lifting beams and clamps),
  • Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (and its British equivalent, The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008),
  • UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) / CE certification mark – confirming full legality for use within the UK and the EU.

5. Do you offer installation of the purchased equipment?

Yes. When purchasing more advanced equipment, such as gantry cranes or jib cranes, we offer a comprehensive service that includes professional installation. Simply ask us for a quote that includes assembly.

6. What payment methods are available?

7. Can delivery be expedited?
